Keep it Cool: Summer Lemonade

Days here have been really really hot!

I have been in Australia for almost 5 years now and I still don’t get use to its hot summer. Yes I know Mexico is hot too, but it is completely different. The side of the country I used to live in was hot but tropical which means that was very humid. So I really have to come up with ways to keep me cool during this boiling months.

Here is the recipe to make a great lemonade.

What you need:

1 cup water

1 cup ice cubes

1 1/3 cups of sugar

1 ½ cups of fresh lemon juice (about 10 lemons)

1 large jug (2lts)

1 lt of water

How to do it:

  1. Put the 1lt of water in the jug, add the lemon juice and refrigerate.
  2. Place the water on a pot over medium heat,
  3. Add the sugar and stir for 5 minutes or until sugar has dissolved.
  4. Let it cool.
  5. Pour the pot mix in the jug
  6. Mix and add ice cubs
  7. So refreshing!

  5. Agrega mas azúcar de ser necesario.
  6. Mezcla y agrega los hielos.

Tip: Puedes agregar leche condensada justo antes de server…riquísima!
