Surprise surprise!, suddenly it seems like we have come a long way with the van conversion.
We stopped all work for a bit because we were socialising too much and took some holidays, but since we got back from Bali we have put time to continue the work.
Ok so, after all the insulation went in, the woodwork started and it is now pretty much completed, at least the main parts are. The main wall is finished, the kitchen area is under way, the bench top is done but we need to add some extra things (e.g. sink, etc.). I also have my closet and I’m super stoked about it, because for some time I thought we wouldn’t be able to have a closet which is a huge deal for me.
We got the base paint, a beautiful light brown which matches the floor perfectly, it is Cane Chair color by British Paints. This color was applied to the wood and it is looking very good. The tone is great, however, as much as I love neutral tones, there is always the need of add that splash of brightness.
My first thought was pink, not surprise there, i like bright hot pink but i had to think that Mark wouldn’t probably like that as much as me, and to see that tone everyday in such a small space is probably not ideal.
So we decided on a turquoise tone hoping it will bring us some calm, to help us ease those times when we would want to kill each other (jokes! 😂 😝), the color is Grand Turquoise by British Paints, I absolutely love it, what do you think?.
Most of the wood got painted and fixed to the interior of the van. I can’t believe it, but it is looking so cozy…i want to move in asap!
