What happens to the “ugly” fruit and veggies that don’t make it to the shop shelves?.
The last project I have been working on is a brand new website for Make a Difference.
The company is a fresh fruit and vegetables franchise selling perfectly good produce, which the large supermarkets reject as “not looking perfect”.
I have decided to take a modern approach, making it a one-page style website. With a second and simple page to feature their gallery of products.
The page has a nice and light feeling, with some animations that gives it dynamism. The top image is a slide show, first one showing the top of an “ugly” pineapple, while the second image is a crooked carrot.
The About Us section has a beautiful and soft movement of the images which gives it an attractive introduction.
The images have been placed on a wooden background, not too light to allow the text to be readable.
When scrolling down, all the content is centered, giving a lot of white space on the sides.
The website also contains two forms, the first one and online order and second one a contact form. The background go the forms are grey to make a difference from the other areas where the background is white.
There is a small gallery where the images are different size and position, however, they all share the same color richness.
The details of the different branches have been added, and a google map has been embedded.
The footer has been kept simple and clean with links topmost of the sites in the page, social media links and a different effect added to the Policy and Terms & Conditions
Lastly, the site has been carefully designed to be available in all electronic devices: mobile tablet and desktop.
The whole site built in Dreamweaver with JS, Bootstrap and CSS.A fun and intensive project that has definitely involved a lot of time, skills, and learning.
