During this rainy season, people tent to ask how the VanLife is going, if we are ok, if the rain doesn’t affect us, etc.
… The van is our home, it doesn’t matter if it is raining or snowing out there, when we are in the van, we are home, we are dry, we cook, we eat, we watch tv, we read; In fact, there are so many things to do despite the weather.
Tv Series Marathon
Of course you would need to have a tv setup in your van. Some of our nights when its pouring rain, we love to put on some series on (our favorites: Fargo, South Park, Brooklyn Nine Nine), time goes in a blink of an eye and you completely forget about the not-so-nice weather outside.
Time is always better spent when eating, and when comes to coffee, there are always a big range of cafes and restaurants to choose from. Just make sure you choose a comfy place with lounges and good cake.
Hit the Gym Together
Yep. I have realized that it is one of the best activities on grey and rainy days. Going to the gym not only warms you up but boosts your energy levels and puts you in a good mood.
This is when a set of chess or cards comes handy. You might already enjoy these type of games but if not, i can tell you that it might not sound too exciting at the beginning, but 5 minutes into a game will easily become 60. Good to give it a go.
Good Long Chat
Park in a nice spot (or not) enjoy the view and/or sound of the rain while chatting. Talk about it all, crappy weather, good food, life…
Besides bringing you and your partner closer, time will fly.
Cozy and quiet place to grab a cup of coffee and a book. If you haven’t been in a public library in a while, you’ll be surprised on all the facilities and types of different resources they have on offer.
This is a perfect opportunity to have a 1-1 time. Why not visiting an art gallery, go to a play or make dinner reservations.
